Job Overview
The Senior Encompass Administrator will be a pivotal role within the Technology Team and with the lines of Business. They will work closely with the Technology and Business teams to develop and implement strategic changes drive forward the company goals. They will manage the Mortgage Software Platforms to provide a cohesive ecosystem by building an architecture of software solutions that supports business needs through partnership and innovation. They will use their expertise in Encompass, mortgage system integrations, and finance related background to develop a clear understanding of our business needs, process, key stakeholders, and build relationships to drive forward change that impacts our business model.
This role is able to be remote with the preferred location being in Charlotte, NC. This role requires East Coast working hours.
What You’ll Do
Manage the Mortgage Software Vendor System Ecosystem including: Vendor Relationships/Management, Solutioning, System Architecture, and Release Note Review
Make recommendations on Encompass and Loan Acquisition/Origination system changes and optimizations
Create and maintain business rules, including advanced coding as necessary
Design, code and implement complex Encompass modules like price adjustment, disclosure, re-disclosure, milestone completion rules, system integrations, custom data-objects, and data-forms using VB, C#, and Encompass SDK
Facilitate migration from SDK to APIs
Employ problem solving abilities to understand, interpret, troubleshoot, and resolve issues relating to system functionality
Provide recommendations for process-flow improvements
Ensure that proposed solutions work as desired through system analysis
Review Encompass and other system release notes and work with department heads to make any needed system or process-flow changes
Manage Encompass enhancements through testing of new functionality, deployment to production environment, and communication to end users
Ability to work East Coast Business hours
What We Need
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred. Alternatively, 2+ years of progressive experience in Encompass administration or a related specialty may be considered in lieu of formal education.
Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with ICE Encompass and other Loan Acquisition/Origination platforms.
Certifications & Technical Skills
Encompass Administrator Certification is preferred but not required.
At least 3 years of experience developing business rules, working with the SDK, and customizing fields and forms within the Encompass system.
Proficiency in administering and configuring customer-facing interfaces, such as ICE TPO Connect or similar platforms.
Familiarity with API calls, Encompass plugins, .NET framework, and version control tools like GitHub.
Exposure to JavaScript, particularly in the context of Encompass Web, is preferred.
Specialized Experience
Experience with Non-QM Mortgage Lending is a plus.
Familiarity with both Encompass Desktop and Encompass Web platforms, including their features and functionality.
Experience with migrations from Encompass Desktop to Encompass Web is an advantage.

Compensation: The base pay for this position is up to $135,000 per year, plus the opportunity for a discretionary annual bonus.
