Responsible for day-to-day analysis, participation and monitoring of production batch, data exchange file management and report distribution schedules on both the mainframe and assigned platforms. Establishes, integrates and configures schedules as well as file management and reporting administration with our production and non-production environment. Analyzes schedules for critical paths, errors and delays. Provide and distribute periodic metric reports, incident and various other operations reports. Working with more senior team members, analyzes and formulates solutions to maintain stability and availability within our infrastructure. Participates in the establishment and maintenance of batch and implementation of procedures, rules, security and compliance requirements as well as changes to environment.

SKILLS

• Configures, monitors and supports batch schedules, reporting distribution systems and data exchange activities using enterprise scheduling and reporting systems. Maintains jobs in production scheduling system by adding new jobs, schedules and revises existing jobs and schedules. Assist in analyzing problems, and recommend solutions to the Tier 3 team.

• Monitors and modifies report distribution system and schedules as well as Tier 2 level of administration activities including identifying problems, and providing overall support. Maintains jobs and schedules in report distribution schedule by adding and revising new and existing jobs and schedules.

• Assist with reviewing incoming implementations and requests to ensure alignment with the operational acceptance criteria and participate in operational design reviews. Maintains implementation of production batch procedures and integration to systems and processes. Reviews all procedures to ensure that they conform to the existing GEHA operations, enterprise and company standards.

• Evaluates additions, revisions, and deletions to batch jobs and schedules. Anticipates and reports on impact of errors and changes on job processing schedules. May assist by providing metric reports.


• Attends and actively participates in weekly Change Control Meetings with all IT departments and reports activities relating to changes in Production Control.

• Requires two years (60 credit hours) of college with emphasis in IT.

• Requires three - five years of successful operations experience, including working in a Tier 2 mid-level role.

• Additional years of qualifying experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.

• Requires a combination of knowledge in; batch scheduling, Windows OS, data exchange processing, SQL, SSIS and/or Facets/Claims processing

• Requires effective verbal, written, professional communications skills and technical aptitude.

Work-at-home requirements

  • Must have the ability to provide a non-cellular High Speed Internet Service such as Fiber, DSL, or cable Modems for a home office.
  • A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 30x5 (30mpbs download x 5mpbs upload) is required.
  • Latency (ping) response time lower than 80 ms
  • Hotspots, satellite and wireless internet service is NOT allowed for this role.
  • A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

The annual base salary range for this position is $61,968 - $87,352 USD.
