Current Need

The product owner is responsible for orchestrating the vision, strategy, and meticulous execution of our product development initiatives, leveraging a background steeped in reporting and analytics. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, their mandate is to ensure our products not only align with market needs but also drive business growth, ultimately delivering exceptional value to our esteemed customers.

Position Description

  • Define and prioritize product features and enhancements based on customer feedback, market research, and business priorities, integrating insights from reporting and analytics.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements and feedback.
  • Create detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and documentation to guide development efforts, incorporating reporting and analytics requirements.
  • Plan and coordinate product releases, working closely with development teams, designers, QA engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.
  • Conduct product demos, gather feedback, and iterate on features based on insights from reporting and analytics data.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and user feedback to assess product performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Identify and mitigate risks and dependencies that may impact product delivery or quality, with consideration for reporting and analytics integrity.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor products, and customer needs, integrating reporting and analytics insights into product decisions and feature prioritization.

Minimum Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in product ownership roles, demonstrating proficiency in orchestrating vision, strategy, and execution of product development initiatives, with a strong foundation in reporting and analytics.

Critical Skills

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role in software development or technology industry, with a background in reporting and analytics.
  • Strong understanding of agile methodologies, product management best practices, and software development processes.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively articulate product vision, requirements, and priorities to diverse stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset, with the ability to gather and interpret data to make informed product decisions.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to influence and motivate cross-functional teams without direct authority.
  • Certification in Agile, Scrum, or Product Management is desirable, with a preference for certifications emphasizing reporting and analytics integration.

Additional Knowledge & Skills

  • Knowledge of and experience in the Healthcare industry is a plus.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with respect to documentation.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication competency.
  • Excellent critical thinking and diagnostic aptitude.
  • High capacity to manage multiple priorities.
  • Exhibit a strong sense of urgency and ownership for task/project completion.
  • Strong leadership skills that inspire team confidence and respect while motivating team members
  • in a creative and effective manner.
  • Experience in managing and working with distributed team members.
  • Desire for achieving excellence in customer satisfaction, process and product quality
  • and reliability.

Education

  • 4-year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience

This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$110,300 - $183,800
