💻 The Role

The Social Media Manager will take a strategic lead in crafting, managing, and optimizing social media initiatives that align with our business goals. This role requires a blend of creative vision and analytical skills to develop campaigns that increase brand presence, foster community engagement, and support overall marketing objectives. You’ll work closely with marketing, content, and creative teams to ensure a cohesive and impactful social media strategy across all channels.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning & Execution:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy to align with the company's business goals, brand identity, and marketing objectives.
  • Create and manage a social media content calendar, ensuring timely and relevant posts across all platforms.
  • Plan, test, and implement paid social media campaigns to expand reach, increase engagement, and drive conversions.

Content Strategy & Creation:

  • Oversee the creation of social media content that resonates with target audiences, maintains brand voice, and encourages engagement.
  • Collaborate with the content team to ensure content is optimized for each platform and tailored to audience preferences.
  • Manage the production of creative assets (e.g., graphics, videos, copy) to support social campaigns.

Analytics & Reporting:

  • Monitor and analyze social media performance, using insights to adjust strategies and improve campaign results.
  • Track key metrics such as engagement, reach, conversion rates, and audience growth, providing actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Regularly report on performance to senior leadership and make recommendations for continuous improvement.

Community Engagement & Brand Management:

  • Cultivate an active and engaged online community by responding to comments, direct messages, and mentions.
  • Monitor brand sentiment across social platforms and proactively manage the company’s online reputation.
  • Identify opportunities to increase brand visibility through influencer partnerships, collaborations, and other social media initiatives.

Market Research & Trends:

  • Stay on top of social media trends, new features, and best practices to keep the brand’s social presence innovative and relevant.
  • Conduct competitor analysis and audience research to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to enhance the company's presence on emerging social media platforms.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in social media management, with a strong focus on strategy and performance. Previous experience managing social media for brands or in-house teams in a remote, startup environment is preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Proven experience in developing and executing strategic social media campaigns.
    • Strong understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and trends.
    • Proficiency in social media management and analytics tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Google Analytics, Facebook Insights).
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a creative approach to content development.
    • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data to inform decision-making.
  • Creative & Strategic Thinking: Ability to balance creative vision with data-driven strategy to achieve business objectives.
  • Team Collaboration: Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including marketing, content, and design.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with paid social media advertising (Facebook Ads, Instagram Ads, LinkedIn Ads, etc.).
  • Knowledge of influencer marketing and brand partnerships.
  • Experience with eCommerce or B2C social media strategies.
