We are looking for a Financial Analyst based in México to support the property-level financial analyses of our growing portfolio. This valuable team member would assist in reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and other related financial analyses for each of our properties.
About the Team
- This role is in our Finance department, with team members located across the United States and Mexico, in this role, you will report to the Associate Director of FP&A.
- You will be joining a team with diverse backgrounds in hospitality, real estate, and private equity. FP&A aligns with the accounting vertical to ensure best-in-class financial reporting accuracy and investment returns for Kasa.
Day in the life of a Kasa as a Financial Analyst
- Assist in updating reporting and budget templates in excel, to analyze property or portfolio performance.
- Assist in report development in our financial systems to address management requirements.
- Maintain software data for budgeting, forecasting, and reporting by conducting quantitative audits and data input on our workplace systems to meet the highest level of financial integrity.
- Respond to requests from colleagues, managers, and team members for specific FP&A data information and ad hoc analysis.
- A regular task for the Financial Analyst would include supporting the quarterly forecasting, annual budgeting, and many other recurring financial analyses to evaluate property performance.
Experience
- Fluent in English reading, writing and communication; you are an expert communicator and comfortable collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
- You are skilled in Excel and enjoy digging into the numbers to derive useful insights from the data.
- College Education and 1+ years of experience in Finance, Asset Management, or financial analytics
- General understanding of financial statements and/or commercial real estate.
- You're well-organized and have a strong attention to detail.
- You’re a team player who appreciates direct and immediate feedback from your colleagues.
Plus if...
- General understanding of workplace or financial planning systems (Workday, NetSuite, Looker).
- You have experience forecasting and budgeting for hospitality/real estate assets.
- Your previous experience includes a portfolio of varied assets, including but not limited to hotels, multi-family, short-term rentals, student housing, and commercial space.
- Your experience includes underwriting or performing due diligence for real estate/hospitality assets.
- You've worked remotely at some point in your career.
