Sr. Data Platform SEiT

We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Data Platform Software Engineer in Test who is passionate about testing enterprise data warehouse solutions. Ideal candidates must have extensive experience translating user stories into effective test cases utilizing a variety of tools and automation technology. You possess solid working knowledge of commonly used data engineering concepts and are an exceptional problem solver. Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Test backend data gathering and transformation routine as well as associated applications that make this information available to other Accruent products.
• Develop test strategies for Epics and Features.
• Working with internal users in a requirements analysis role.
• Experience validating data flows, data cleansing, and transformation routines.
• Understanding of data integration issues (such as the validation and cleaning of data).
• Excellent interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills are required to support working in agile environments that includes internal, external and customer teams.
• Requires strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and assess and adjust quickly to changing priorities.
  
  

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance with a strong focus on Agile methodology.
• 5+ years of experience triaging issues that arise from testing by working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to determine root cause.
• 5+ years of experience testing APIs utilizing a variety of tools such as GraphQL.
• 3+ years of experience writing queries in Oracle, SQL Server, and Snowflake.
• 3+ years of experience verifying data warehouses and data flows using tools such as DBT.
• 3+ years of experience with Python, Prefect, and test automation frameworks such as Robot.
• Experience using defect tracking tools, test management tools and source repositories.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills.
  
  

Desired Skills/Experience

• Working knowledge of logical data modeling concepts (relational and dimensional).
• Familiarity with Azure and PaaS concepts.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and containerization.
• Working knowledge of DevOps pipelines in Azure.
