About the role
We are seeking a Data Quality & Risk Analyst to join our team at EAL, responsible for ensuring the highest standards of data quality and risk management. In this role, you will analyse business and customer data to identify risks and inaccuracies that could impact customer satisfaction, transparency, and change initiatives. You will implement strategies to improve data accuracy, reliability, and alignment with customer needs, driving insightful reporting through key performance indicators (KPIs). Your expertise will play a critical role in building customer trust and contributing to the long-term success of EAL.
What you’ll be doing
As a Data Quality & Risk Analyst at EAL, you will monitor and resolve data quality issues, collaborate with IT and business teams, and implement data quality rules and standards. You'll conduct audits, ensure compliance with retention requirements, and drive continuous improvement in both data accuracy and risk management. In risk management, you'll develop a robust framework, perform horizon scanning, and implement strategies to mitigate identified risks by 90%. Your role will include creating detailed reports and KPIs to measure success, maintaining data accuracy at 97% or higher, and supporting colleagues with leadership and guidance in these areas.
What we’re looking for
We are looking for a highly skilled Data Quality & Risk Analyst with a strong background in data analysis, cleansing, transformation, and validation. Proficiency in data management tools such as SQL, Excel, Power BI, and Tableau is essential. You should have a solid understanding of risk assessment and mitigation strategies, with the ability to identify potential risks in data processes and implement effective controls. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies in data, as well as to address quality issues. Experience developing and reporting on KPIs, managing multiple projects, and working cross-functionally with excellent communication skills is critical. A focus on customer needs, commitment to continuous learning, and experience leading data quality improvements are also key, along with familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and data governance frameworks.
