ROLE DESCRIPTION:
We are a well-established and well-funded B2B crypto platform looking for senior backend blockchain engineers to join our crypto protocols team.
The position is 100% remote and requires working on the underlying protocols and blockchain integrations technology to manage digital assets, including staking, custody, trading, governance and security for our institutional clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Be hands-on in the code base actively contributing to new backend developments or enhancing the performance of existing systems.
- Self-learn crypto assets and protocols for smooth & quick integration across the stack.
- Develop new backend modules and chain integrations as needed.
- Implement crypto management features as required by institutional clients.
- Manage scale across the system, integrations and technologies, ensuring responsiveness and cross-platform compatibility.
- Maintain and closely monitor the overall performance of the code base for performance tuning and monitoring.
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct code reviews as needed.
- Participate in critical technical and product discussions with leaders across Engineering, Product and Business teams.
- Keep technical debt low by reinforcing the Engineering culture of code reviews, solid test coverage, and documentation.
- Balance short-term execution with longer-term concerns such as extensibility and reusability.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 6+ years of programming experience in a production environment, ideally in crypto, or hands-on experience with complex distributed systems or microservices architecture.
- Proven experience in an array of backend programming languages like Java, Python, Node, and the ability to learn new languages and technologies quickly.
- Experience in Golang and Rust are ideal, however technical interviews are language agnostic.
- Comfortable with CI/CD processes and contributing actively in all SDLC stages.
- Hands-on in writing high-quality scalable code, including integrators.
- Prioritize end-user developer experience through strong knowledge of computer science fundamentals.
- Experience mentoring, guiding, and coaching junior team members and a passion for learning and sharing what you’ve learned with others.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Must be a team player and work well in a team environment.
- Interest in blockchain and web3. Prior web3/crypto/blockchain/fintech experience is a plus.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Compensation: Highly competitive base salary based on candidate location with additional yearly equity. Visa sponsorships are supported. The role is 100% remote.
