As part of the local F&B team, you’ll be responsible for maintaining existing customers in your region and grow the business through active prospection.


Your role:


In this role as Account Manager F&B, you lead and drive sales within the Food & Beverage Business with a key focus servicing existing accounts and targeting and winning qualified opportunities with customers in Belgium.


That’s why it is crucial that you like to be on the road: we believe in having the actual face time with our clients is important to build the long-lasting relationships with the key decision-makers that we are looking for.


You will be responsible for all sales in your region: from developing a sales plan and strategy, to implementing this to doing the reporting on your results and forecasting for future success. You are the one using your technical knowledge and expertise to advise our clients regarding their hygiene solutions in their food and beverage factories.



Your focus is growing the existing business (80% farming & 20% hunter).

Meeting with customers in 1:1 visit and organizing training sessions with the clients to make sure they get all the information they need to make a decision. You will be acting as a trusted advisor for your clients – and that’s why up to date knowledge about our products and solutions is critical. For this, we will provide you with a lot of opportunities to do in-depth product trainings yourself as well. From consulting your clients, asking a lot of questions to preparing a matching offer to your clients’ needs, and to negotiate and prepare the commercial agreement – it all belongs to your scope of work.


To measure whether your sales plans are a success – you will also be responsible for collecting the right data. This is done in the form of reports on results of work and updating our customer databases in Salesforce. Based on these results, market data and your sales funnel, you will be able to forecast and make predictions on future results.


Our potential customers are both large well-known international brands of which you will carry the regional responsibilities, but also big and mid-sized companies. We already own a large market share and have a strong reputation in the market growing.


Duties and Responsibility


The focus of this role is to manage an assigned group of accounts, with the primary responsibility to create value for the assigned customers trough the technical service they provide; and identifying new product opportunities and selling to existing customers and prospects.


  • Managing the existing customers in your area.
  • Be the face of the company and responsible for all sales, account correspondence, contracts, orders received, new business implementation, troubleshooting and follow ups.
  • Facilitate meetings with customers on a regular basis to discuss service, plans and proposal.
  • Lead and partner with customers for business strategies implementation and plan execution, conducting regular business reviews.
  • Share Diversey product and market knowledge, ensuring superior value delivery to the customer.
  • Drive and grow sales and services within your region.
  • Report on prospecting activities, sales opportunities, and competitor activity.
  • Conduct high level negotiations in order to secure new and repeat business.
  • Build long term internal and external customer relationships.



Qualifications:


  • Preferably BSc or MSc in food technology, chemistry, or chemical engineering
  • Someone with experience in B2B added value sales, within Food & Beverage market is a plus. (These include Food and/or Beverage, meat and food processing, breweries et cetera).
  • Min. 2 years of technical applications and sales experience preferred.
  • Growth orientation does not hesitate in challenging sales force when required, Willingness and mindset to get into details.
  • Ability and willingness to pick up Diversey’s markets and technologies quickly.
  • Fluency in Dutch & English language is mandatory, French is a plus.
  • A driver’s license is also part of the job.
  • You are based in Belgium - This is a hybrid role but we expect you to be on the road visiting customers to build long-lasting relationships
