  • PTO is provided to team members as a lump sum allowance, not an accrual. Compensation

Our Compensation System is designed to reward remarkable work, grow your impact and support the whole “you” over the course of your career.

We believe in paying people fairly, so we've established a compensation model aimed to ensure everyone at Fearless — regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, disability, religion, age, nationality, or negotiation skills — is given equal pay for equal work. Our approach to compensation is intended to ensure our total package serves all of your needs and includes base pay, medical and other benefits, performance rewards, 401k matching, plus a few perks (tech and wellness reimbursement programs)! Our salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location and provide team members salary growth within a salary grade over time. Team members automatically progress within a salary range through annual increases (given to reward service at Fearless) or merit increases (given to reward and individual's demonstrated performance and growth within the position). Fearless team members are also eligible for discretionary bonuses based on company performance.

The salary ranges for this position based on location are listed below. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified as a part of our annual salary range review.

  • AL, FL, GA, TN Residents: $112,915 (min) - $146,789 (mid) - $180,664 (max)
  • NC Residents: $116,407 (min) - $151,329 (mid) - $186,251 (max)
  • DE, MD, PA, TX, VA Residents: $122,227 (min) - $158,896 (mid) - $195,564 (max)
  • DC Residents: $137,360 (min) - $178,568 (mid) - $219,776 (max)
  • CA, NY, NJ Residents: $142,016 (min) - $184,621 (mid) - $227,226 (max)

Location:

  • In-person, hybrid, and remote options are available. Must be willing to traveling to San Antonio, TX and/or Baltimore HQ as needed.

Fearless is looking for a Product Strategist to add to our diverse team of 250+ employees (and counting!).

What you’ll be doing

At Fearless, the role of Product Strategist involves a blend of strategic planning, product development, and understanding the specific needs of our clients, their unique challenges and their users. The Product Strategist will be a dynamic and strategic-minded leader who is responsible for guiding the long term strategic direction of client products, services and solutions. You will work with client partners to develop and implement product management strategies, prioritization processes, delivery frameworks, launch strategies and OKR’s. The Product Strategist will also coach client organizations on product management best practices, helping them establish long-term visions and strategies that align to the organizations mission. The ideal candidate is a strong relationship builder, will be value and outcome driven, and possess the ability to identify, understand, scope and solve user and business problems.

The Product Strategist is focused on meaningful outcomes and builds strategic plans for products that change user behaviors. You will continuously adjust your product’s strategic approach based on ever-changing priorities, and user feedback. The product strategist will have an intimate understanding of the client of the end users and their needs and development strategies to continuously drive user adoption. The product strategist will also thrive at identifying risks and creating risk mitigating plans.

Responsibilities and Contributions

  • Works directly with client organizational leaders and key stakeholders to build out a long term product vision, strategy and implementation plan..
  • Works with clients at the stakeholder level to ensure product strategy aligns with organizational mission.
  • Stakeholder engagement, build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in government agencies, understanding their challenges, needs and priorities.
  • Develops a product prioritization schema, unique to the client context, that will enable the client to manage the stakeholder demands and product requirements, but also allow effective product development.
  • Establishes and implements product management best practices and operations.
  • Develops and communicates long term product strategy and vision for team members to carry out.
  • Develops and implements an overall strategic approach to new product development or product enhancement.
  • Serves as a consultant to client product owners on backlog prioritization, epic/feature/use case/user story creation, user personas identification, acceptance criteria and value propositions.
  • Develops and implements product education plans, marketing plans, and launch plans, and coordinates cross functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Partners with stakeholders to establish Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and iteration plans.

Essential Skills, Experience, Or Competencies

Must-Have Skills

  • Strategic product management experience as an advisor, coach or consultant.
  • Experience identifying, understanding and solving business and end user problems.
  • Experience developing and communicating effective strategic, implementation, launch and iteration plans.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to create alignment across various internal and external audiences. .
  • Extensive knowledge of product ownership and product management roles in an agile environment.
  • Ability to operate and manage work, strategically reason, build relationships, and influence others.
  • Proven ability to establish, track and analyze performance metrics, adoption rates and user satisfaction.
  • Experience working with key stakeholders or decision makers at the enterprise level.
  • Obtain a Secret clearance.

Icing-on-the-Cake Skills

  • Experience working for federal, state or local government in some product management or strategic capacity.
  • Obtain a Top Secret clearance.

Role Family

Roles in this Job Family include:

  • The Product Manager II conducts thorough problem identification, product planning, client and technology analysis and understanding, customer education, competitive analysis, and implementation/execution of Government and production strategies that drive adoption, resource efficiency, and value delivery. They display leadership regardless of where they sit in the organization, and are regular contributors to the herd and the product management practice at Fearless.
  • The Product Manager III conducts thorough problem identification, product planning, client and technology analysis and understanding, customer education, competitive analysis, and implementation/execution of Government and production strategies that drive adoption, resource efficiency, and value delivery. They work with Portfolio Directors to build agency and portfolio strategies that digitally transform our customers. They are leaders in the herd and for the practice, supporting teammates of varying skill levels and helping to grow the practice in the company.
