About The Role

The mission of the Paid Media Buyer is to contribute to the overall profitability of the hiring company by successfully creating, growing, and optimizing the smoothest, simplest, and highest-converting advertising campaigns you'll ever come across.


The Paid Media Buyer will advance the message and mission of the hiring company by creating, analyzing, and optimizing world-class ad campaigns that attract new customers and retarget current customers to foster repeat business.


In this role, you'll work closely with Leadership and Marketing teams.

Your goal in this role is to grow the new customer base while maintaining an acceptable ROAS. Specifically, in the first six months as the Paid Media Buyer, you aim to accomplish these two main objectives:


1. Successfully increase the new-to-brand customer base via ads from 200 to 1,000+ a month.

2. Maintain an account-wide ROAS of 3.0, contributing to the overall profitability of the company.


This is achieved through three primary areas of focus, including but not limited to:

1. **Creative** - You love strategizing, creating, and implementing new ad campaigns. You’re constantly seeking the best angle to captivate new audiences and drive overall sales. You are highly collaborative and enjoy working alongside the Marketing team to accomplish the shared goals.


2. **Funnel Optimization** - You love keeping close track of how the funnel works overall and focus your efforts on the 1-2 numbers that need your attention each week. You’re comfortable digging into the data and drawing conclusions on what adjustments are necessary to improve performance.


3. **Ad Buying** - You wrangle audiences and Amazon Ads to hit CPA and ROAS targets.


Qualifications

- **Tech Savvy**: Familiarity with Apple, Google, Amazon Seller Central, Amazon Advertising, Google Analytics, TripleWhale, Shopify, ReCharge is a plus.


- **Process Oriented**: Strategic ability to think about systems and processes and continuously innovate ways to enhance the customer experience.


- **Self-starter, self-manager**: Takes initiative, anticipates needs, and consistently delivers results on time.


- **Grace and poise under pressure**: In a high-growth business, things are always changing, and intensity can rise. The team prides itself on functioning at a high level even when things get busy by collaborating effectively.

Requirement

- **Education**: High School degree.

- 3-5 years of experience optimizing ad funnels, ideally in the Amazon/DTC space, particularly in planners/journals.

- Extensive experience working with Amazon Ads.

- Successfully transitioned a company from relying on an advertising agency to managing all digital advertising in-house.

- Profitably managed an ad budget exceeding $100,000 in monthly spend for sub-$100 products.

- Worked with an annual ad budget of at least $1M.

- Desire to fully own the entire funnel from start to finish.

- Value autonomy and control.

- Extensive experience in producing ad creative that converts.

- Established a tracking and optimization methodology.

- Enjoy copywriting, creating compelling visuals, and overall content creation.

- Outstanding written communication skills.

- Demonstrated ability to combine strategic thinking with effective tactical execution.

- Connect deeply with the company’s core values.

- Familiarity with content similar to the hiring company's offerings and executive coaching business models in the marketplace.


Benefits

This is a contracted position (with the potential to evolve into a full-time role) that reports to the paid media buyer. As a contractor, you will enjoy flexibility and autonomy while working on exciting projects. This position is remote, with a preference for candidates to reside in Nashville, Tennessee, or within a couple of hours' driving distance for occasional in-person meetings. The hiring company operates as a team from 9-3 CST. Contractors are expected to work independently, managing their schedules and workloads to meet project deadlines.
