Role Summary

Magnet Forensics continues to build a best-in-class Engineering team and now hiring for a Full Stack position to work on our superior digital forensics' product – The GrayKey. You will work closely with the Software Engineering team & bring to the table your creative, detailed-oriented, and exceptional user interface talents to drive the product requirements.

We are looking for someone who is quick-thinking, possesses strong technical skills, and a practiced collaborator by asking questions, listening, and contributing. An understanding of not just HOW to code, but WHY certain code works is a must.

Role Responsibilities

  • Investigate, analyze and make recommendations to management regarding technology; improvements, upgrades and modifications
  • Create and design user-focused experiences
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and advancements
  • Work with Senior level engineers to generate project requirements
  • Provide Unit tests and documentation on new features and patterns
  • Optimize apps/sites to improve performance and efficiency
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Securely maintain and prototype with proprietary company hardware

Qualifications

  • Practical experience an Object Oriented programming Language
  • Basic level of fluency in a Posix-Compatible Operating system (MacOS, Linux)
  • Practical experience in a virtualized hardware environment
  • Positive attitude, focused on learning and asking questions
  • Demonstratable projects using nodeJS or Python
  • Practical experience with SQL

Nice To Have Skills

  • Experience with GraphQL
  • Experience with AWS or Azure
  • Network Security experience
  • UML Diagramming
  • Eastern Timezone

Compensation & Benefits

  • The Compensation Range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. Please note that the actual compensation may vary depending on location and job-related factors such as qualifications, experience, knowledge and skills. If you are applying for this role outside of the primary location and you are selected for an interview, the Talent Acquisition Partner can share more information with you. If the compensation structure for the role includes an incentive component (ie. most Sales roles) the range below represents total target compensation (TTC) (base salary + variable).

Compensation Range

MIN: $69,600 - MID: $87,000 - MAX: $104,000 Currency: CAD
