We’re looking for a UX Development Manager to join our Team!
Due to continued success and company growth, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced UX Development Manager to join our team. Working within our Production division, the successful candidate will be an experienced UX/UI designer with strong Front End skills that can confidently lead, manage and be accountable for our development team.
What you’ll be doing!
As a member of the Production Management Team, the UX Development Manager will work with, and under the direction of the Chief Production Officer to manage the Development Team and all UI/UX design requirements. The UX Development Manager will act with reliability, maintain strict confidentiality, adhere to all Company policies and be a champion of the Company Values at all times.
The accountabilities for this role include:
Lead, manage and be accountable for the Development Team (Developers, QA and Technical Author)
Oversee all development project timelines, ensuring deliverables are completed on time and within budget
Carry out discovery for tools, features and/or policy changes
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align development efforts with business objectives
Ensure our Developers are working to industry best practices and coding standards, addressing any areas of concern as required
Mentor and support team members in their professional growth and development
Monitor and report on team performance and project progress to senior management
Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, technologies and identify areas for improvement/training requirements
Maintenance of the company corporate website (Keyzo.co.uk)
Manage all UX/UI designs and prototypes for our product portfolio, ensuring brand consistency and high class user interface
Carry out Front End development for our product portfolio as required
Assist with any other graphic design elements as needed such as; online advertisements including social media graphics
Help with writing specifications for new product features
Carry out any other tasks or duties required by senior management as appropriate to the UX Development Manager role
Experience, Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Design (minimum 2:1) or equivalent
Have a recognised management qualification (CMI level 5 or above) or be prepared to work towards it
Strong design skills with a minimum of 3 years commercial experience specifically in frontend development and UX/UI design
Minimum of 2 years management experience leading a development team
Excellent coding skills using CSS, Javascript, Vue3, HTML5, ReactJS or similar transferable technologies.
Strong people skills
Ability to provide accurate estimates with regards to development work and work to a schedule to meet deadlines
Maintain a high level of awareness of industry trends regarding Front End development and design
Keep abreast of usability standards and emerging technologies
Be a team player and keep team members informed as appropriate
Experience managing development teams and overseeing project lifecycles
Proven ability to lead and mentor technical teams
Strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.)
Proficiency in project management tools and practices
Experience with code review processes and ensuring adherence to best practices
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
Strong organisational and time management skills
Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Experience in resource planning and managing team workloads
Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes
