Homeoffice Atlassian Tooling Engineer (with German) with verification

The Collaboration Suite Squad, part of the DOE, is dedicated to managing and optimizing collaboration tools like Atlassian Jira and Confluence. This team plays a crucial role in enabling efficient project planning, tracking, and documentation across the organization. For that team we are looking for an Atlassian Tooling Engineer (with German).

Key responsibilities:

• Operate, maintain, and enhance the Data Center versions of Atlassian Jira and Confluence.
• Design and implement an Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) system for Atlassian tools.
• Improve automation and overall tool value.
• Design, implement, and manage workflows, permissions, and integrations.
• Document processes for internal and external use.

Must-have skills:

• Fluency in English and German (B2 level minimum).
• Experience in multi-tenancy environments and Agile/Scrum projects.
• Proficiency in setting up, configuring, and maintaining Jira and Confluence.
• Ability to integrate Jira and Confluence with CI/CD tools and Git repository managers.
• Strong customer service skills.

Preferred skills:

• Experience with Wiki tools, GitOps (e.g., ArgoCD, FluxCD), and scripting languages (Python, Groovy, JavaScript).
• Familiarity with Jira Automation, ScriptRunner, and REST APIs.
• Knowledge of security best practices and user training support.
