We're partnering with a fully remote tech startup, founded in Amsterdam, to find a talented UX/UI Designer. This startup has a small, dedicated team of about 10 colleagues and is preparing for significant growth, with plans to double in size in the coming months.


After five years of product development and several strategic pivots, they’re now on the path of scaling the business. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the user experience of a platform that’s revolutionizing the travel & hospitality industry through a two-sided marketplace.


About the role:


As a UX/UI Designer, your primary focus will be on designing user flows and interfaces that simplify complex interactions between businesses and consumers. You’ll be the go-to person for ensuring that both sides of the marketplace have a seamless and intuitive experience. While this is a broad role, the company is particularly looking for someone who excels in interaction design and has a knack for turning user feedback into actionable improvements.


What you’ll do:


  • Interaction design: Focus on creating clear, intuitive user flows that simplify complex interactions. You'll design interfaces that guide users effortlessly through the platform, reducing friction and enhancing usability.
  • User feedback integration: Regularly gather and analyze user feedback, particularly from usability tests and surveys, to identify pain points. Translate this feedback into design improvements that address real user needs.
  • High-fidelity prototyping: Develop detailed prototypes that can be used for testing and by developers during implementation. You’ll work primarily with tools like Figma, ensuring that every design is ready for seamless handoff to the development team.
  • Responsive design: Ensure that the platform’s design is fully responsive, delivering a consistent experience across mobile, tablet, and desktop devices.
  • B2B and B2C alignment: Design solutions that cater to both B2B and B2C users, understanding the different needs of each user group and balancing their requirements in the design process.
  • Design system development: Help establish and maintain a design system that ensures consistency across all parts of the platform, from typography to components and interactions.
  • Cross-team collaboration: Work closely with the founders, a product manager and couple of developers, participating in sprints and reviews to ensure your designs are implemented accurately and efficiently.



Who you are:


  • Experienced: 3-5 years of experience in UX/UI design, with a strong emphasis on interaction design and user flows.
  • User-centered: Expert in user-centered design, with a proven ability to translate user research and feedback into actionable design decisions.
  • Tool-proficient: Skilled in Figma and other design tools, with experience in creating high-fidelity prototypes and design systems.
  • Detail-oriented: Keen eye for detail, especially in ensuring that designs are both functional and visually polished.
  • Collaborative: Comfortable working in a cross-functional, remote-first team, with excellent communication skills to articulate design decisions.
  • Self-driven: Thrives in a startup environment where you can take ownership of your projects and drive them to completion.
