We are seeking a passionate Senior Data Architect / Analyst who will ensure the sustainable success of Kardex by setting up and developing our business performance management system and at the same time manage our Group and Business Units by analyzing relevant performance and market intelligence information. With your experience in creating the necessary data architecture and applying data analytics, you will contribute significantly to the development of the path to predictive data analytics. As an experienced business partner, you will work cross-functionally and recognize performance-relevant fields of action.



Your tasks

  • Define the data architecture and expand the data lake to perform efficient data analyses and enable the use of AI for prescriptive data analytics
  • Structure data models for financial and non-financial data reporting and analysis
  • Establish and develop the strategic business performance management system (BI / Dashboards / Reports), including designing and implementing new processes to e.g. define new KPIs, include additional data / data sources and update dashboards/reports
  • Procure, analyze, and prepare information from various business units and the market for target audience-specific purposes
  • Manage business performance processes, including preparing and conducting regular management dialogues with business units
  • Develop the analyst respectively business partner community with employees from various interface functions, both central and within business units
  • Transfer and prepare information in structured reporting formats, such as for the central strategy department and Group management
  • Derive strategic fields of action and define corresponding projects based on factual analysis as an experienced business partner
  • Support the implementation of the digitization strategy and take responsibility for individual initiatives.
  • Facilitate automation and digitization initiatives


Your profile


  • Successfully completed studies in economics, industrial engineering or mathematical / scientific degrees in conjunction with an MBA, or comparable qualifications
  • Many years of relevant professional experience in performance management and strategic market or competitive analysis
  • Familiarity with relevant business performance KPIs along the value chain
  • Technical knowledge of data sources and their analysis using systems and tools (e.g. SAP, Navision, Microsoft PowerBI)
  • Strong ability to think cross-functionally and build and maintain professional relationships across all organizational levels
  • Excellent ability and enthusiasm in managing cross-functional interfaces and assertiveness independent of hierarchy
  • Structured way of working and strong analytical skills
  • Knowledge of intralogistics is an advantage
  • Very good language skills in German and English, other languages are a plus
