Responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyze cryptocurrency transactions for risk and fraud detection, identify anomalies and patterns indicative of potential risks or fraudulent activities
- Conduct risk assessments on cryptocurrency transactions, assessing the likelihood of fraud or illicit activities
- Investigate and assess suspected fraudulent transactions
- Analyze large datasets to identify anomalies and trends indicative of both transaction risk and fraudulent behavior
- Use statistical and data analysis tools to develop models that enhance transaction risk detection
- Develop and refine risk detection rules and algorithms to enhance transaction monitoring systems
- Develop and implement incident response plans for handling identified high-risk transactions
- Prepare and present regular reports on transaction risk, providing actionable insights
- Stay informed about the latest fraud trends and educate the team on emerging threats
- Contribute to the development of fraud prevention policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirement
Requirements:
- 1-5 years of experience in risk analysis, fraud detection, or a related field, with exposure to cryptocurrency transactions and in B2B segment
- Familiarity with blockchain analytics tools (Сrystal, Chainalysis etc) and the ability to provide input for system improvements
- Proficiency in data analysis tools/SQL (Tableau) and techniques for detecting patterns and anomalies in large datasets will be an advantage
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to assess risks, investigate fraudulent activities, and develop effective preventive measures
- Strong communication skills to effectively convey findings, insights, and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Impeccable attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality reports on a short deadline
- Highly organised and responsible person able to work with minimum supervision
