We’re TheyDo, a fully remote B2B SaaS organisation. Founded in 2019, we are the leading journey management platform, on a mission to make the customer journey the most powerful business tool there is.


In March 2024 we announced our latest funding round worth $34 million. Combined with our Series A raise in 2022 it takes our total investment to just under $50 million. Our angel investors include executives from Intercom, Miro, OpenAI, Amplitude, Slack, Airtable and more.


We support and partner with renowned enterprise organizations such as Cisco, Ford, Johnson & Johnson, Home Depot and Polestar, helping them manage their complex journeys and optimize them for efficient growth, removing the need for constant transformation.


We kicked off 2024 with a global team of 65 TheyDoers, representing over 30 nationalities across 20 countries.

TheyDo is on a mission to make Customer Journeys the most powerful tool for businesses, and AI plays an integral role in that. Utilising state-of-the-art AI and ML approaches like LLMs, we’ll be making sense of both quantitative and qualitative data our customers have and empowering our Triple-Diamond approach to customer-centrity. AI is a small but growing team of three Engineers empowering the data value-add for our product. You will be reporting to and collaborating directly with Jaanus, our VP of Engineering.


What you will do

  • Manage a diverse team of AI/ML Engineers and Data Scientists
  • Be a partner to our Product teams in delivering AI-enabled features
  • Maintain AI and Data roadmap aligned to business needs
  • Identify possibilities to build a data moat to differentiate our business
  • Be a visionary and evangelist on AI and ML, suggest innovative ways how to empower Journey Management further
  • Stay on top of innovation in AI, ML and Data science fields
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and customer contracts when handling and building AI
  • Grow and nurture our team on AI and ML skills


What we are looking for

  • Understanding of both classical Machine Learning and LLM/NLP-enabled AI solutions
  • Having past experience in LLM and NLP work is a big plus
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a leadership role in AI, ML or Data science field
  • A leader who can manage and drive innovation across the whole landscape of AI, ML and Data Science
  • Hands-on Engineering skills either working with Python code, training ML models, suggesting and supervising experiments or interpreting and connecting the data we gather
  • Understanding of GDPR and other related privacy and Data protection regulations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Expert who can mentor both the team and the whole company on AI, ML and Data
