HiveMQ’s Vision for this role
The goal of the HiveMQ Product Development Platform Team is to improve the whole HiveMQ Product Development function by creating and maintaining the infrastructure and tools necessary to enable product teams to work effectively and efficiently.
As a member of the Platform Team you provide a range of services and support, including tools for collaboration and communication, project management, data analysis, automation, and software development. You will work closely with product teams to understand their needs and pain points, and then design and implement solutions that meet those needs.
You will…
- work closely with product teams to understand their requirements and develop solutions that meet their needs.
- design, develop, and maintain the platform's tools and infrastructure, including project management, data analysis, automation, and software development tools.
- stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry best practices, and make recommendations on how to improve the platform based on their findings.
- provide training and support to product teams to help them effectively use the platform's tools and infrastructure.
- measure and report on platform performance, identifying areas for improvement and making recommendations on how to optimize performance.
- participate in cross-functional initiatives to help drive innovation and growth within the product development organization.
- outstanding interpersonal skills and you can effectively coordinate and work in a team of developers.
- willingness to learn and adapt quickly.
- a high sense of ownership and take pride in the work you accomplish.
- a practical approach, focused on the bigger picture and the ability to work independently.
- experience in automation, especially in automating the right thing.
- experience in operating, maintaining and developing engineering focused systems.
- experience in CI/CD systems, preferably Jenkins.
- experience in build automation software preferably Gradle.
- experience in networking technologies, such as routing, VPN, network performance, DNS, and VPN.
- experience in provisioning and orchestrating infrastructure and services.
- an experience in administering or utilising Windows servers as well as a proficiency in the Linux operating system.
