As Technical Lead, you will join an exciting new product team of product, engineering and other multi-disciplinary team members within Healthforce. As the engineering team’s Technical Lead, you will champion the delivery of ingenious solutions to business problems using the latest technologies. You will also champion best practices in the SDLC process and mentor other engineers.
WHO YOU ARE
Knowledge and experience
- At least 4 years of experience as a software engineer.
- Experience as a technical lead is beneficial.
- Strong experience in Python development and Frameworks like Django, Flask, CherryPy etc.
- Knowledge and experience in front-end development frameworks in React, Vue.js, Angular.
- Knowledge and experience in cloud infrastructure and architecture like AWS, Azure, GCP.
- Knowledge of object-relational mapping (ORM)
- Strong experience in using restful APIs.
- Strong experience with object-oriented programming principles.
- Experience in and understanding of agile software development methodologies.
Education
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent working experience.
- Short courses to keep up to speed with modern development practices.
- Relevant Certifications such as AWS Solution Architect, Agile Scrum etc
Importantly, you need to be socially minded and should want to apply your creativity and skills to reimagining the way healthcare can be delivered to all South Africans through technology.
