We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our dynamic team, working on our cutting-edge Data Platform on AWS Cloud.

In this role, you will leverage state-of-the-art technologies to design, build, and maintain scalable data infrastructure that drives impactful business outcomes. This role is home based, though travel will sometimes be required across our offices.

What you'll be doing

• Programming and Scripting: Write and maintain Python scripts for data processing, automation, and integration tasks within the AWS cloud environment
• Develop and Maintain Data Pipelines: Design, build, and manage scalable data pipelines using AWS Glue, ensuring efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Implement and manage infrastructure using Terraform and CloudFormation to automate resource provisioning and configuration.
• Data Querying and Management: Utilize SQL and Athena for data querying, management, and optimization to support business intelligence and analytic
• Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub, ensuring seamless code integration and deployment.
• Serverless Computing: Utilize AWS Lambda for serverless data processing and automation tasks, optimizing cost and performance.
• Data Design and Prototyping: Design data models and create prototypes to validate and iterate on data solutions, ensuring they meet business requirements and standards.
• Operational Support: Provide operational support for data systems, including monitoring and basic troubleshooting.

This role demands a proactive and collaborative approach, with a strong focus on leveraging AWS cloud technologies to drive data-driven decision-making and enhance business outcomes.

Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
• SQL skills and experience with Python programming.
• Proven experience in data engineering or a similar role.
• Proficiency in AWS Cloud services, especially AWS Glue, Lambda, and Athena.
• Experience with Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Familiarity with GitHub and CI/CD practices.
• Experience in building and maintaining data pipelines.
• Understanding of data modelling and database design principles.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
