The purpose
Responsible for implementing, and maintaining PureGym's IT infrastructure to ensure its reliability, security, and scalability. This role will collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain, develop and deploy innovative solutions that support the business objectives.
The role
- Implement and maintain PureGym's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage systems, and cloud services.
- Evaluate existing infrastructure to identify areas for improvement, optimization, and cost reduction.
- Plan and execute infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and expansions to meet PureGym's evolving needs.
- Deliver project related infrastructure services as required.
- Monitor system performance and security, identifying and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Implement and enforce security best practices to protect the integrity and confidentiality of company data.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of infrastructure components with applications and services.
- Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps to facilitate knowledge sharing and training.
- Provide technical support and guidance to internal stakeholders, troubleshooting infrastructure-related issues as needed.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in IT infrastructure management.
- Participate in on-call rotation and respond to infrastructure emergencies outside of regular business hours when necessary.
The person
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or demonstrable relevant experience.
- Proven experience as an IT infrastructure engineer or a similar role.
- Proficiency in designing, implementing, and managing enterprise-level IT infrastructure solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of networking protocols, systems administration, and security principles.
- Hands-on experience with virtualized services.
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Relevant certifications, such as CCNP, MCSE, Azure Certifications are highly desirable.
