Europe, Middle East and AfricaThe Source Code team is focused on building and supporting all use cases related to interacting with the code stored in each project repository. Whether it's a quick consultation of a commit or a deep analysis of the history of changes to any given file, our team is tasked with building and supporting features that enable a great experience.Europe, Middle East and Africa

Europe, Middle East and AfricaSource Code is one of the oldest and most complex parts of the GitLab application. We leverage information provided by the backend (who interfaces with the Git repositories via Gitaly) to surface all the necessary information to the user via the web browser. We see this as an essential part of collaborating since it’s the way to quickly extract information and share it across peers when collaborating or discussing a specific part of the codebase. A large portion of GitLab traffic, whether on gitlab.com or in private instances, happens through Source Code pages, and we are focused on providing a great and performant experience through performance tuning, optimizing data loading and display, including dynamic and interactive web applications.Europe, Middle East and Africa
