Role Overview

As an Instructional Designer, you will contribute to Sirva’s success by supporting the training material development needs within the global Sirva organization. The position requires working with all segments of Sirva, continually implementing process improvements to learning and development for the greatest ROI. The Instructional Designer partners with subject matter experts to create appropriate learning materials and is responsible for managing various training/development and projects from start to finish.

This position is open to being filled virtually in the following regions:

AMER: United States, Canada, Brazil

Europe: The Netherlands, United Kingdom, Belgium, Denmark, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Germany, Norway, France, Czech Republic, Poland

APAC: Philippines, Australia, New Zealand, UAE, China, India, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan

What You'll Be Doing

90% Curricula and Content Development

  • Drives the consistency of all training materials for Sirva employees, agents, agent team members, and drivers.
  • Builds curricula that contains process, IT technology and business rules which produces great participation and greater knowledge application.
  • Works with trainers, subject matter experts and business leaders from Sirva to assure clarity in training and process.
  • Documents processes for training on existing and new company processes.

5% Technology & Education

  • Provides expertise in technology used by global Learning & Development department.
  • Coaches team in use of current technology.
  • Researches and evaluates upcoming learning related technology.

5% Special Projects, training and other duties as assigned

What You Bring to Sirva (Qualifications, Skills, Education or Certification Requirements, etc.)

  • Three to five years of experience with adult learning and instructional design creation
  • Firm understanding of ADDIE system of design and Kirkpatrick levels of evaluation with demonstrated application.
  • Skilled communicator, both written and oral with a global awareness
  • Able to effectively interface with all levels of employees from entry level to Senior Management
  • Excellent organizational skills, strong ability to multi-task while working independently.
  • Ability to conduct independent research, draw conclusions, and translates into instructional material.
  • Skilled at problem solving with strong analytical thinking skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office, especially PowerPoint and Word
  • Superior knowledge of Articulate (or, like eLearning development tool/s); knowledge of web design
  • Efficient research skills
  • Strong understanding of hardware and software
  • Bachelor’s degree required
