Shopify's Technical Program Managers manage large-scale missions and programs to build the best product for our Merchants, enabling entrepreneurship and creating new value for the world. TPMs drive execution, capability and impact across the organization by keeping thousands of people focused, and moving as fast as possible so Shopify can achieve the impact of giants with the speed of a startup. As a TPM in the Trust Organization, you will deliver solutions that keep commerce secure for everyone - protecting Shopify’s systems, infrastructure, and data. You will work on a portfolio spanning Security, Privacy, and Information Technology and be part of a highly adaptable team and diverse team. Resourcefulness and curiosity are key - you’ll need to quickly gather context on our infrastructure, systems, tooling, and safeguards to be able to successfully accelerate our efforts and deliver on our strategic initiatives.
As a TPM supporting missions launching products to our merchants, you will collaborate with a diverse group of experts to innovate, develop, and introduce these solutions. By integrating these products into our merchants' operations, you will empower them to expand, optimize, and efficiently manage their businesses. You will play a pivotal role in managing programs that continue to transform Shopify into a complete merchant platform, driving a powerful cycle of growth and delivering tangible value to our merchants.
As a TPM supporting missions spanning Infrastructure, Data, Core Platforms, etc., you will be instrumental in forging robust, scalable, and impactful services and solutions, serving as the backbone for our exceptional products delivered to merchants. Collaborating closely with engineers and cross-functional teams, you will ensure that our initiatives meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and performance. Your focus will be on thinking through system integration, performance, resilience, reliability, and redundancy, all crucial for crafting the best platforms and services.

You might be great in this role if you have:
- A proven track record and passion for managing complex, technical programs in domains such as Security, Infrastructure, Cloud Systems, Data, Product, etc.
- Managed and delivered large-scale, x-org programs with a founders mindset
- A commitment to understanding technical architecture and feasibility of tech solutions to drive software development deliverables and solutions
- Successfully driven complex negotiations with diverse stakeholders to manage interdependent priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for audiences at all levels and crafts, to provide visibility and transparency into program progress
- Demonstrated leadership skills to influence stakeholders and gain buy-in and, bring teams together to drive progress forward
- Are self-driven; You're proactive and able to navigate through ambiguity and complexity within a fast paced environment to bring clarity to stakeholders
- Experience managing with highly effective program management tools and cadences
