Who We Are

We are Spectro Cloud. We're on a mission to deliver a Kubernetes-centric platform that allows developers and their IT & Platform friends to work together making software easier, safer and more fun to deliver and manage. We help people use and run Kubernetes their way, anywhere. Led by a team that has built products and companies successfully before and is doing it again; together with talented team members and industry-leading investors backing us up, we're taking K8s everywhere you can imagine.

What You Will Do

We are building Palette, which is for technical Kubernetes practitioners - platform teams, devops, and system administrators. You will understand their problems and pains, and translate that into features to drive great outcomes, helping them manage K8s at scale painlessly. That means you will need to be technical, speak their language, and be comfortable hands on with K8s so you can dive deep on the features that help them the most.

In this role, you will work as part of our product management team, covering a wide range of our Palette capabilities. Everything from our wide range of cloud provider integrations (Public and Private cloud), our Edge offering, through to core day 0 through day 2 cluster management capabilities.

You will join a tight-knit, fun, and driven product and engineering team and bring your awesome Product Management (PM) and Kubernetes technical skills and experience with you. We work as a team, and we are overall responsible for the Spectro Cloud product offerings. Amongst other things, you will help us drive:

  • Roadmapping and product strategy
  • User stories & persona definitions
  • Feature discovery
  • Product and feature definitions
  • Feature delivery, descriptions, demos, etc.
  • Field enablement and training
  • Competitive analysis
  • Product management and engineering processes
  • User experience

We work heavily with our amazing colleagues in the executive team, UX, marketing, engineering, QA, solution architecture & sales, documentation and customer success & support teams.

About You

You LOVE technology because you’re curious, and you LOVE building amazing products that are a joy to use, even with complex technologies such as Kubernetes.

You have a computer science or engineering background, and you have extensive experience building or working with infrastructure products, either physical, virtual, or X-as-a-Service.

Given that our product is focused on Kubernetes practitioners, you must have experience with Kubernetes.

Knowledge of cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, and GCP is key, as is knowledge of VMware and bare metal cloud technologies such as MAAS. In addition, you should have a strong understanding and background in some of networking, security, storage, and other key infrastructure components. Experience with edge technologies is a bonus.

You have good product management experience and are looking to continue to work on growing your skills. You have a customer-first and stakeholder-first mindset and you know that any great PM believes that product management is a service to others.

You enjoy digging into features together with customers and engineering, and you are fastidious with an attention to detail. If things aren't written down, you make sure they get written down! If people need to get together to hash it out, you get them together!

You’re a fantastic communicator, you enjoy and feel comfortable interacting with people from all walks of life. You know how to write because you enjoy it. You’re meticulous and detail-oriented such that you don’t rest until everyone understands what is needed.

You know how to prioritize, even when it feels uncomfortable. You know how to set expectations and uncover the critical path in ambiguous situations.

You are experienced with good product management practices and processes, and know how to introduce them if needed, or alter existing processes to bring greater value. You’re happy working in a fast paced and exciting environment.

You’re comfortable stepping in and covering for others in your team.

Finally, you are open, inclusive, and transparent, because you understand that this engenders trust and respect and ultimately, better products.

The role is available in Europe and Canada.
