The role in a nutshell:

The key responsibilities of a Platform Security Engineer will be to enhance our security posture across all platforms, IT landscape & cloud environments, with a particular focus on AWS. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in security and development operations, with proficiency in scripting and automation to support DevSecOps initiatives.

How you will make a difference:

• Security Operations: Manage and monitor a suite of security technologies, including SIEM tools, vulnerability assessment solutions, threat intelligence platforms, endpoint protection, mobile device management (MDM) solutions, and configuration management systems. Respond to and resolve security incidents and tickets.
• Cloud Security: Develop and implement security measures for cloud services, ensuring alignment with cloud security best practices. Manage the security aspects of our AWS environment, including infrastructure, applications, and data.
• DevSecOps Integration: Work closely with development teams to integrate security into the DevOps lifecycle, leveraging automation and scripting to enhance security measures and efficiency.
• Vulnerability Management: Perform vulnerability assessments and manage the process of tracking and remediating vulnerabilities.
• Access Management: Oversee access control measures for IT systems, ensuring compliance with policies and that access is appropriately managed and reviewed.
• Security Evaluation: Conduct regular evaluations of security controls and access permissions, aligning with compliance requirements and best practices.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for security processes, configurations, and audits.
  
  

What will give you an advantage:

• Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH) not mandatory.
• Demonstrated experience in managing security technologies and frameworks.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, especially AWS, and knowledge of cloud security principles.
• Experience in implementing DevSecOps practices, with strong skills in scripting and automation.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
