Job Summary

The Senior Lab Developer Lead at KodeKloud plays a crucial role in creating and overseeing the development of lab-specific content, focusing on current trends in DevOps, Cloud Native technologies, and emerging tech such as AIOps and MLOps. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, leadership skills, and client interaction to drive the creation of engaging and relevant content for our learners and support our B2B partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

• Content Strategy and Development
• Identify and explore new opportunities to create labs around current trends in DevOps, Cloud Native technologies, and emerging tech such as AIOps, MLOps, etc.
• Collaborate with the Content team and the CTO to prioritize and execute long-overdue tasks, including creating new mock exams for the CKS course, enhancing existing mock exams, and developing cloud-based challenges and similar courses.
• Contribute to the ideation and development of new labs by working closely with the KodeKloud Engineer and engineering teams.
• Team Leadership and Management
• Provide technical leadership to the team of lab developers at KodeKloud.
• Facilitate task prioritization and conduct weekly meetings with the team to understand challenges and issues and explore ideas internally.
• Work with the content and engineering teams to resolve any challenges or issues the lab development team faces.
• Delegate tasks to lab developers, ensuring accountability for the timely release of high-quality content.
• Oversee projects from start to finish, ensuring they meet the desired quality standards and are delivered within the agreed-upon timelines.
• Hands-on Development
• Actively participate in developing lab content, leveraging your technical expertise to create engaging and informative labs.
• Ensure the technical accuracy, relevance, and quality of the content created by the lab development team.
• Stay current with industry trends and technologies to ensure the content remains current and valuable to learners.
• Collaboration and Communication
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive environment within the lab development team, encouraging open communication and knowledge sharing.
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Content, Engineering, and KodeKloud Engineer teams, to align priorities and ensure seamless project execution.
• Provide regular updates to stakeholders on the progress of lab development initiatives and any challenges or roadblocks encountered.
• External Engagement
• Participate in calls with external trainers to ideate opportunities for adding labs to the courses they are working on, ensuring alignment with their learning objectives and KodeKloud's content strategy.
• Conduct demos of the KodeKloud platform for B2B clients, showcasing the wide variety of labs available and highlighting how the hands-on learning approach can help organizations upskill their teams in DevOps and cloud-native technologies.
• Gather feedback and insights from external trainers and B2B clients to continuously improve the lab content and the overall learning experience.
  
  

Required Skills And Experience

• Minimum 5 years experience in Linux Systems Administration
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience working with at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Professional working experience with DevOps tools like Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Packer, Vagrant, and Terraform
• Experience automating tasks with Python, Shell Scripting, and JSON queries.
• Proficiency in using SDK for the above-mentioned cloud technologies, CLI, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and configuration management
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong leadership and project management abilities
• Ability to think strategically and translate ideas into actionable plans
• Passion for creating high-quality educational content and helping others learn and grow
• Comfort with client-facing interactions and the ability to effectively demonstrate the value of KodeKloud's offerings
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Relevant certifications in DevOps, Cloud, or related technologies would be a bonus
• Experience in creating online learning content or tutorials
• Proven track record of leading and mentoring technical teams
