About The Role

The Accounts Receivable Administrator will be responsible for managing a portfolio of new and existing customers, to control, reduce & maintain debt levels in line with agreed processes. The role is part of a wider team who are responsible for all credit control, invoicing and treasury for UK&I.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Perform all credit control tasks for customers including chasing customers by phone & email, ensuring customers meet contractual terms, proactive communication, while maintaining a high level of customer service
  • Reconciling accounts as and where necessary, considering eventualities such as unravelling accounts and reallocating as necessary
  • Liaising with internal teams to assist with resolving customer issues
  • Maintaining customer accounts and ensuring contact details are kept up-to date
  • Dealing with queries from customers, providing timely responses and resolutions, following set processes
  • Assisting with obtaining a PO for invoices raised
  • Maintaining strong relationships with customers and CS team
  • Proactively seeking ways to make improvements to systems and processes as part of continuous improvement
  • Ensuring all collection notes & disputes are clearly documented
  • Assist with monitoring weekly aged debt movements and resolutions
  • Creating and posting journals on sales ledger, general ledger and purchase ledger
  • General administration duties
  • Setting up of new customer accounts
  • Assist finance colleagues in forecasting cash collection projections
  • Monitor any ‘at risk’ accounts, following the set out process
  • Support wider team with any add hoc administration tasks

Qualifications

  • Qualified by experience
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Able to prioritise workloads and competently schedule call-backs with customers
  • IT Literate in Microsoft Excel Word & Outlook
  • Problem solving
  • Attention to detail
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
