The Opportunity


You will work alongside a team of high-performing engineers, you will be entrusted with leading initiatives crucial for Endpoints’ system uptime, release management, infrastructure design, network security, and support.


A high focus on automation and efficiency between platforms and services in an open source technology environment and looking to improve our existing cloud infrastructure (AWS).


Role and Responsibilities


With a track record in DevOps and Software development, you are a technology enthusiast who takes pride in creating rock solid solutions to deploy software at scale and velocity.


Responsibilities also include architectural and solution design, performance monitoring, security and governance, and occasional troubleshooting to resolve issues - as and when required!


  • AWS focus - ECS, EKS, S3, IAM, CloudFront, CloudFormation, RDS
  • Containerisation/Microservice based architecture
  • Version control solutions - Git/GitHub
  • Docker, Kubernetes/EKS
  • CDN/WAF Solutions - Cloudfront
  • Ownership of Build/Deployment tasks and see them through to completion independently.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimise AWS costs while ensuring high availability, reliability, and scalability of services.
  • Working with other engineers to create and maintain CI/CD pipelines for various components of Endpoints product services.
  • Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation on infrastructure, processes, and best practices
  • Work with Tech lead and Engineering Management to define and implement standards across our platforms
  • Working with our group security team to implement security and governance controls


Qualifications


  • Experience with automation / building infrastructure as code
  • In-depth knowledge of AWS services
  • Knowledgeable on Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD, Jenkins)
  • Experience and expertise in EKS, Kubernetes and Helm
  • Extremely strong written and verbal skills
  • The ability to work well under pressure.
  • Knowledge of TDD and/or BDD
