Position Summary

We are seeking a proactive HR manager to build and lead the HR team, collaborating closely with our CSuite and managers to develop and implement strategies for the global expansion of AniLive. Your role will foster an environment where team members excel and actively contribute towards fulfilling our mission.

What you will do

  • Strategy Planning
    • Collaborating with the CEO, CTO, CCO, and each manager to align HR strategies with the IZUMO mission and objectives
    • Supporting managers proactively to achieve OKRs
  • HR Team Establishment
    • Setting up adequate internal flows related to HR tasks
    • Managing members in the HR team
  • Recruitment and Onboarding
    • Sourcing and attracting top talents with internal and external stakeholders
    • Conducting compelling interviews and overseeing the onboarding process to ensure new members integrate well into the company
  • Culture Building and Employee Relations
    • Prompting a positive and inclusive company culture and system
    • Organizing team-building activities and fostering member engagement
What you will bring

  • Passion for the Japanese entertainment industry — anime, manga, gaming, VTubing... you must be an otaku!
  • 3+ years experience in an HR leadership role developing and building a team, bonus if you've created an HR division from scratch
  • You already have startup experience and enjoy the dynamics + face-paced nature inherent in startups
  • Fluent or native level English is required
  • Experience creating and scaling company culture, especially in a hyper-growth organization or one that has gone through significant transformation
  • Excellent impersonal and communication skills, especially in a remote and multicultural working environment
  • Experience using Notion, GSuite, Microsoft Office, Slack, and Zoom
