At 1st Choice Vac Solutions (affiliate of Ditch Witch Midwest), we’re the authorized distributor of premium vacuum excavation and sewer cleaning equipment across Northern Illinois. We’re looking for a Sales Representative who is more than just “good” — we want the best. Someone with relentless drive, a high sense of urgency, and the grit to push through obstacles, crush goals, and close deals others can’t.


This is a high-dollar, consultative equipment sales role — one where price isn’t the only factor. The right person will command premium sales through persuasion, deep relationships, and undeniable value.

What You’ll Do:

  • Own your territory like a business — identify, target, and dominate your market.
  • Crush sales targets and blow past quotas by selling industry-leading equipment and solutions.
  • Out-hustle the competition with daily customer visits, follow-ups, and next-level responsiveness.
  • Sell beyond price by demonstrating unmatched product expertise and consultative value.
  • Ask for the order — move deals forward, close decisively, and never leave opportunities on the table.
  • Build rock-solid relationships with municipalities, utilities, and contractors that lead to long-term partnerships.
  • Lead powerful equipment demonstrations that showcase performance, ROI, and real-world impact.
  • Manage the full sales cycle — from prospecting to proposal to delivery — with precision and urgency.

What You Bring:

  • A competitive fire that drives you to be the best — average is unacceptable.
  • Proven outside sales success in heavy equipment, construction, or related industries.
  • Grit, discipline, and a relentless commitment to goal achievement.
  • Ability to persuade and influence decision-makers beyond price points.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate fluently in English. 
  • A self-motivated, autonomous mindset — you don’t  wait to be told what to do.
  • CRM proficiency and sharp organizational skills.
  • Driving Record: Valid driver’s license with clean driving record (CDL or ability to obtain within 6 months).
  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
