Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our finance team. This role will play a key part in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, overseeing month-end close, and managing tax and compliance requirements across federal, state, and local jurisdictions. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical accounting knowledge with a hands-on approach to process improvement and operational excellence.
Role Responsibilities:
Lead and support the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to GAAP. Prepare, review, and reconcile journal entries, balance sheet accounts, and financial statements. Manage all state and federal tax filings, compliance, and reporting, including sales/use tax, franchise tax, income tax, and other required filings. Partner with external advisors, and regulatory agencies as needed. Develop, document, and implement accounting policies and procedures to strengthen internal controls. Collaborate cross-functionally with CFO, Sr. Accountant, Operations, and Leadership to provide financial insights Support cash flow planning and monitoring Assist with special projects, including system enhancements, process automation, and scaling of the accounting function.
Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting or corporate accounting. Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and tax compliance requirements. Proven ability to manage a month-end close process in a fast-paced environment. Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail. Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and present findings to leadership. Proficiency with accounting software QuickBooks (or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
