SUMMARY
This position is part of Charlotte Douglas International Airport's Strategic Communications team and reports to the Digital Content Specialist Senior. The Digital Content Coordinator supports the creation of professional-quality videos and photos that help share the Airport’s story in a compelling way with passengers, stakeholders, and the public.The Digital Content Coordinator assists with capturing and producing still and video content for use across Airport internal and external communication channels including newsletters, digital screens, the Airport’s website, and YouTube channel. The coordinator helps with planning, writing, scheduling, photographing/filming, editing, and preparing visual materials under the guidance of the Digital Content team. Additionally, all members of the Digital Content team oversee audio/visual equipment and set up for Strategic Communications events including press briefings and announcements.
This position also helps organize and maintain the Airport’s photo and video archives, ensuring assets are properly catalogued for easy access by the team. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to work flexible schedules.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist with creating, filming, photographing, and editing digital content to support Airport communications
Operate various media and editing equipment (cameras, microphones, video editing, pre-production, and post-production work)
Support set-up and breakdown of podium, microphones, and mult-box set up for press events and others as needed, securing podium afterward in terminal storage closet
Provide photography and video support for Strategic Communications and for other Aviation workgroups and initiatives
Assist in coordinating visual content projects, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met
Update visual messaging screen content on public-facing digital screens
Help maintain Airport photo and video archives including digital galleries and shared storage drives
Provide event support including setup, photography, and general logistics
Support collaboration with other team members, partners, contractors, and others
Perform other duties as assigned
General Information:
Successful candidate must hold valid driver’s license and ability to qualify for and maintain a city driving permit
Standard hours apply; however, occasionally non-traditional work hours are necessary to accomplish projects, and subject to emergency calls back to work
Certain convictions will disqualify individuals from unescorted access privileges and therefore exclude from employment
Minimum Qualifications:
High school graduate or equivalent with five (5) years of relevant experience OR 2-year college degree with three (3) year of relevant experience OR Bachelor's level degree with one (1) years of relevant experience OR Master's level degree with no experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Prefer a minimum of 5-years of experience working in content development, public relations, journalism, communications, marketing, or closely related field. Experience in government and/or at an airport. Bachelor’s degree in communications, broadcasting, interactive media, graphic design, marketing, or a related field.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Basic knowledge of photography theory and video storytelling fundamentals
Strong verbal communication and interviewing skills
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, executive staff, tenants, community partners, and the public
Ability to demonstrate initiative and self-motivation in a rapidly changing work environment
Good news judgement with ability to develop story ideas in support of department goals, mission, objectives
Proficient in software editing tools to include Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro
Experience in project management, field production, and post production execution
Eagerness to learn new techniques and tools of photo and video production
Encouraged pursuit of new and compelling storytelling subject matter
Proficient with macOS, iOS, and Windows platforms, including Microsoft Office
Basic understanding of social media protocols to assist Social Media team with video and photography projects
Ability to participate in several projects simultaneously
Physical and Sensory Requirements:
This position requires extended periods of sitting. Remainder of time could be spent bending, reaching, twisting, standing, walking, and driving. Sensory requirements include touch, hearing, and vision.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
