Job Summary

As the Security Manager, you will lead and grow key aspects of our Cogswell award winning security program to safeguard documents, information systems, and physical assets relating to both classified and unclassified programs. This position will execute a wide range of hands-on and managerial activities.  You will work as part of a small team comprised of internal and external members to meet the increasing security demands the company is experiencing as part of our rapid growth.  This position is an opportunity to make a significant contribution to both the company and nation which could lead to further leadership career advancement.

  • Maintain knowledge of applicable government regulations, changes to NISPOM requirements to include new Industrial Security Letters, and procedures necessary to maintain current compliance. 
  • Continue to develop and grow our company-wide industrial security program to ensure Company and customer requirements are met. 
  • Manage accreditation and continual oversight of NISPOM and ICD-705 areas in accordance with the 32 CFR Part 117 - National Industrial Security Operating Manual, DOD Manual 5205.07, Contract Security Classification Specification (DD254) and Program Classification Guides. 
  • Implement, maintain, and monitor the Company’s secure Information Systems and communications security (COMSEC) equipment and related procedures in accordance with Risk Management Framework and other relevant requirements. 
  • Maintain the Company’s programs to ensure compliance with Insider Threat, Confidential Unclassified Information (Cybersecurity Maturation Model Compliance) and International Traffic in Arms Regulations requirements. 
  • Conduct security self-inspections, apply risk mitigation methodologies, support customer assessments, and implement security measures to meet requirements. 
  • Perform the duties of the Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) by managing the security functions for a Special Access Program (SAP). 
  • Manage physical security of the building to include Intrusion Detection, Access Control System and Alarm System for building or closed areas, key/lock control, combination changes and tracking. 
  • Control and safeguarding of all incoming, in-house, and outgoing classified documents to include reviewing classification of documents generated internally and accountability of classified material. 
  • Conduct foreign travel defensive briefings for employees traveling overseas, as well as conduct debriefings for returning travelers. 
  • Provide employees with personnel security guidance consistent with the 13 adjudicative guidelines to assist them in managing their clearances. 
  • Continually update and administer security-related training to company personnel. 
  • Use standard DoD Security clearance databases and tools, including DISS, NISS, SWIFT and eQIP. 
  • Interface with DCSA and other Government representatives. 
  • Ability to travel, as required, to customer and partner facilities in support of program security requirements.

Experience and Skills

  • U.S. citizen with an active Secret DoD security clearance. Must be able to apply for a TS clearance and undergo a polygraph. 
  •  8+ years' experience in personnel and facility security with strong hands-on knowledge of and experience with 32 CFR Part 117 – National Industrial Security Program (NISPOM), ICD 705 and Risk Management Framework. 
  • FSO Certification and a minimum of five years’ experience. 
  • COMSEC Custodian training and experience. 
  • ISSM/ISSO experience and Chapter 8 NISPOM training. 
  • Exceptional communication skills (written, verbal as well as listening and presentation) and leadership qualities. 
  • Team-player with ability to influence and motivate others. Innovative, enthusiastic, and open to new ideas. 
  • Detail oriented, self-starter with good organizational skills. 
  • Informed decision makers using sound judgment. 
  • Manage multiple simultaneous projects, organize, and prioritize numerous tasks. 
  • Current Top-Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain SCI/SAP eligibility. 
  • Experience growing and maintaining security capabilities in a small business environment. 
  • Experience with SAPF/SCIF construction. 
  • Proven track record of accrediting and maintaining new NISPOM and ICD-705 areas and information systems. 
  • Operational experience on programs with SAP/F and/or TS/SCI security requirements 

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent work experience
