Your role at Clorox:

The External Operations Manager (EOM) role is responsible for the management and operational execution of the External Manufacturers within network, and for the collaboration and influencing of internal, cross-functional partners in ways that create value for Clorox.

In this role, you will:

  • Extend Clorox’s operational excellence standards to domestic External Manufacturing sites. Ensure EM sites understand Clorox priorities and have a plan to continuously improve capabilities in line with our strategy.
  • Foster relationships to ensure sites are capable and accountable for delivering on contractual requirements, performance metrics and business objectives. Set metrics to build trust and ensure reliability. Highlight gaps and drive improvement efforts where necessary.  
  • Critical to Quality attributes and requirements are fully understood and adhered to at all External Manufacturing locations inclusive of correcting audit findings.
  • Manage On Time in Full/Schedule Adherence to meet Planning Requirements. Participate in triangle calls to understand gaps and help problem solve issues to ensure supply.
  • Deliver SOX required audits, cycle counts and inventory maintenance activities.
  • Leverage Agility to drive out losses. Identify cost savings and efficiency opportunities Foster and enhance External Manufacturing Standard Work models.
  • Build connectivity across Commercialization, Brand Maintenance, Supply Assurance and Cost Savings activities Actively participate and serve as the Operations lead on commercialization teams.  Partner with Procurement, Technical Services, and Quality on New Site Assessment Team, developing one technical voice on site selection.
  • Work in concert with Procurement Business Ops/Category Mangers on site relationship & performance from contract renegotiation.

What we look for:

  • 5 plus years leading teams
  • 2 plus years of strong SAP experience is required
  • 2 plus years in a manufacturing environment (in a supervisory capacity). Consumer products, food or related category is preferred
  • Ability to lead, motivate and effectively coach
  • Ability to Travel 25-40%
  • Understanding of supply Chain and manufacturing capacities
  • Ability to pull together ops recos and present to SC leadership as appropriate
  • Ability provide strategic insight to the impact of projects to EM operations and CLX supply assurance.
  • Good Interpersonal/ relationship building Skills
  • Decision making, critical thinking, problem solving Skills
  • Ability to work cross functionally and influence without authority.
  • PC Literate; Excel (Int.), Outlook, Word (Basic), Power Point (Basic), SAP

Based on the breadth of our ranges, most new hires will start at Clorox in the first half of the applicable range. Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.

–Zone A: $88,700 - $165,900

–Zone B: $81,300 - $152,100

–Zone C: $73,900 - $138,300
