Summary

A Machine Learning Researcher at Topstep is responsible for researching, developing, and implementing machine learning models to improve Topstep’s internal business operations, further Topstep’s analytical understanding of the business and its users, and/or create useful features to enhance Topstep’s product.  Along with model building, MLEs will create reports, dashboards, and/or data-centric tools as those needs arise.  An MLE at Topstep is a “full-stack” MLE, meaning that they will be expected to contribute to the entire machine learning workflow.  This workflow includes data gathering, cleaning, and validating phases, as well as exploration, analysis, feature engineering, training and model selection, launching, monitoring, and fine-tuning.

Like all employees at Topstep, we expect our MLEs to take ownership of projects and directives, to think creatively, and to challenge the status quo whenever the status quo does not seem good enough.
