POSITION SUMMARY:  The taproom keyholder fulfills all bartending duties in addition to opening and closing the taproom on weekends. They represent the brand in a taproom setting and as such are expected to represent the products of the brand and the fundamentals of the company in exemplary fashion.


GENERAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Fully trained as a bartender and a barback executing steps of service accordingly.

  • Maintains taproom cleanliness.

  • As a leader, displays a professional and positive attitude at all times.  Can use and enforce adequate complaint resolution procedures to address concerns rather than display open negativity or poor attitude.

  • Demonstrates attentiveness to guests needs and ensures needs fulfilled.

  • Demonstrates courteous and positive attitude towards our guests at all times.

  • Completes any other reasonable request by a supervisor in a reasonable time frame.

  • Exhibits clean hygiene and appropriate attire for the job position.

  • Performs responsible alcohol service.

  • Accurately handles cash management. 

  • Accurately opens and closes tabs; accurately rings in all guest merchandise and beverages.

  • Uses checklist to ensure all daily tasks are completed to best represent the taproom.

  • Performs monthly/daily cleaning duties in routine fashion.


OTHER DUTIES

  • Participates in bartender/ barback meetings relevant to their job position.

  • Informs management of any sub-standard representations of the brand.

  • Has 100% knowledge of all taproom standards.

  • Keeps management informed of safety issues, equipment needs, or product issues within their job position.

  • Engages with guests in the taproom enhancing each guest’s experience.

  • Introduces themself when a tab is started.

  • Greets guests with a smile and gives a sincere “thank you” when guests close a tab.

  • Suggestively offers packaged beer to-go when closing tabs.

  • Actively participates in sales promotions/contests in the taproom.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

  • Ability to read, write, perform mathematical computations such as adding, multiplying.

  • Ability to effectively communicate with guests utilizing tact and diplomacy when necessary.

  • Ability to describe our products to guests without issue.


PHYSICAL/ MENTAL DEMANDS

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, talk, and hear.  The employee is required to be on their feet for a large portion of the day/shift.  The employee is required to stoop, kneel, or crouch; reach with hands and arms; use hands to finger, handle, or feel tools or controls; must be able to lift and/or move heavy objects including kegs and full glass racks; must be able to move 150 pounds of mass off the ground.

  • Must be able to sustain constant mental and visual attention.


WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Production environment, including hot areas, sharp objects, heavy machinery, and fast moving equipment.

  • Bar environment, including cold areas, precise tools, and heavy equipment.

  • Flexible schedule that can vary from week to week; work required on weekends.
