Position Summary

The Manager of Demand Planning for Amazon and Alternative Channels will lead the demand planning function across key eCommerce and emerging retail partners. This role will be responsible for developing accurate forecasts, aligning cross-functional teams, and ensuring inventory and supply decisions maximize sales while minimizing excess. The Manager will oversee a team of demand planners and provide leadership in building best-in-class digital and omnichannel forecasting practices.


Key Responsibilities


Leadership & Team Management

- Lead and develop a team of demand planners dedicated to Amazon and alternative retail channels.

- Provide coaching, clear KPIs, and structured development plans for team members.

- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.


Forecasting & Analytics

- Own the end-to-end forecasting process for Amazon and other dotcom/alt accounts, including baseline creation, promotional lift, seasonality, and new product introductions.

- Leverage Amazon Vendor Central data, POS feeds, and internal systems to drive accurate weekly, monthly, and annual forecasts.

- Build forecasting models tailored to the dynamics of eCommerce channels (click-through rates, digital campaigns, price elasticity, etc.).

- Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Finance to align on consensus demand plans and incorporate top-down and bottom-up inputs.


Process & Systems

- Implement standardized forecasting tools and dashboards to improve visibility and accuracy.

- Ensure demand planning processes are aligned with S&OP and supply planning requirements.

- Monitor forecast accuracy and bias, driving root cause analysis and corrective actions.


Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Partner with Supply Chain, Sales, and Marketing to ensure inventory strategies balance customer service levels with working capital targets.

- Work with Amazon teams (AVS, vendor managers, supply chain analysts) to ensure joint business plans are supported by realistic forecasts.

- Collaborate with Finance to provide accurate demand assumptions for revenue projections.


Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or related field; Master’s preferred.

- 6–8+ years of experience in demand planning, with at least 3 years in eCommerce/Amazon forecasting.

- Prior leadership experience managing a team of demand planners or analysts.

- Strong analytical skills with experience using forecasting software (Logility, SAP IBP, o9, Anaplan, or similar).

- Advanced Excel skills; experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) a plus.

- Deep understanding of Amazon Vendor Central and eCommerce/dotcom forecasting nuances.

- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to work across functions and levels.

Salary

$120,000.00 - $150,000.00 /year
