Job Description:An Engineering Manager is a key driver of innovation and transformation, leading the delivery of complex, high-impact projects that support some of the most dynamic industries and markets around the world. This role blends technical excellence with visionary leadership, ensuring that solutions are not only architecturally sound and scalable but also aligned with long-term business objectives.
Engineering Managers provide strategic direction and technical guidance to cross-functional teams, empowering them to design and build cutting-edge technology that addresses critical business challenges. They act as connectors between product, business, and technology, translating vision into actionable roadmaps and enabling organizations to deliver solutions that accelerate growth, enhance competitiveness, and create lasting value.

Responsibilities:
- Leading a cross functional team of Python, Frontend, Backend/API, and Quality Assurance engineers to successfully deliver on product objectives and milestones.
- Actively contribute across the full software development lifecycle, from ideation and planning through development, testing, customer feedback, and iterative improvements.
- Drive continuous enhancements across the entire technology stack, ensuring scalability, performance, and quality.
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Data Engineers, and Data Scientists to effectively expose and deliver data through the web application.
- Design, build, and maintain the backend technology stack, including Python, Airflow, PostgreSQL, and Kafka.
- Provide architectural and design leadership, manage technical debt, and foster collaboration and engagement within the product team.
- Partner with other Engineering Managers on cross-team initiatives such as continuous deployment, testing and monitoring improvements, and frontend user logging.
- 8+ years of professional software development experience, including 4+ years in leadership positions.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Strong agile mindset with the ability to iterate quickly, deliver value early, and provide actionable feedback.
- Proven leadership and decision-making skills, combined with excellent communication abilities in both verbal and written English.
- Advanced expertise in Python (3.5+), with a solid understanding of modern backend practices.
- Familiarity with modern frontend technologies and core web development principles.
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing public APIs using OpenAPI specifications and service-level contracts.
- Practical experience with map and location libraries (e.g., Mapbox).
- Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and develop engineering talent, fostering both technical and professional growth.
- Strong knowledge of software testing at all levels, from unit tests to full end-to-end automation.
