Skills and Competencies

 

•    3-5 years of professional software development experience, with a proven track record of delivering impactful technical solutions in collaborative environments.
•    Proficiency in one or more programming languages: Java, Scala, C#, C++, or Python.
•    Experience with both relational databases (Postgres, MySQL, SQL Server, or Oracle) and NoSQL data stores at scale.
•    Expertise in developing robust, production-quality RESTful APIs and microservices.
•    Familiarity with building cloud-native applications using Docker and Kubernetes, as well as on-premises software solutions.
•    Comprehensive understanding of data structures, algorithms, and complexity analysis.
•    Strong grasp of software design principles, architectural best practices, and testing strategies.
•    Demonstrated ability to lead projects and collaborate across disciplines to drive outcomes that meet customer and business needs.


Education

 

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.


Responsibilities


•    Deliver high-quality, scalable, and maintainable software solutions aligned with team and product goals that power risk quantification for the global P&C market.
•    Independently own and execute key projects or components, ensuring delivery within deadlines and exceeding quality expectations.
•    Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, UX designers, and other engineers to prioritize impactful solutions that align with customer needs.
•    Contribute to technical roadmaps, identifying opportunities to streamline processes and optimize system performance.
•    Proactively identify and resolve complex technical challenges, ensuring system reliability, scalability, and performance.
•    Advocate for and implement improvements in team processes, tooling, and software quality.
•    Document and communicate technical solutions and decisions effectively to stakeholders across teams.
