This newly created role is part of a team undertaking debt advisory transactions across a range of industry sectors, debt product types and financing situations. Working directly with the Managing Director and Senior Adviser, this is an exciting opportunity for a motivated candidate to develop an investment banking career in a global firm with strong deal flow and a collegiate culture.
- Core member of the debt advisory team, actively participating in debt advisory transactions
- Assisting with deal origination and execution
- Work closely and collaboratively with sector teams to complete transactions
- Liaising with and working effectively with other teams and overseas Rothschild & Co offices
Essential experience and qualifications:
- Strong academic record (secondary and tertiary level)
- Financial modelling experience
- Excellent numeracy and strong communication skills: written, verbal, and presentation
Desirable experience and qualifications:
- The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years post-graduation experience in a debt-related role in institutional or commercial banking, most likely gained within a leveraged, project or infrastructure finance team
- Degree in commerce or finance
- Experience on live transactions
- Post-graduate qualifications (for example, CFA or CA), although not essential
