As the Head of People Partnering - Technology, Transformation & Corporate Functions, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering the people strategy in alignment with the organisation’s commercial goals. You will operate as a strategic partner to your functions Executive members and wider Senior Leadership Group, You will lead a team of People Partners to enable transformation, build future capability, and embed a high-performance, inclusive culture.
Reporting into the People Partnering & Operations Director, you will bring expertise in organisational effectiveness, change leadership, and employee experience. Operating as a key conduit between the business and People Centres of Excellence, you are responsible for anticipating workforce needs, influencing people strategy, and delivering value-added solutions that drive business performance and colleague engagement.

What you’ll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced HR leader, with a proven track record of strategic business partnering within complex matrix organisations.
Additionally, you will:
- Hold a degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field or CIPD qualification (Level 7 preferred) or equivalent senior HR certification
- Possess the skills to lead high-performing HR teams, with a focus on coaching, development, and succession
- Demonstrate success in leading business change, transformation, and organisational design
- Proven ability to manage relationships & influence C-suite stakeholders, with the confidence and credibility to challenge and shape thinking
- Have a strong understanding of employment law with a background in navigating ER/IR issues with rigour and credibility
- Demonstrated resilience in fast-paced environments, adapting to shifting priorities and maintaining composure under pressure
- Be passionate about personal development and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Role-model Post Office behaviours and serve as a true advocate for ED&I, cultivating an inclusive environment where all colleagues can thrive
Desirable skills also include:
- Track record of working across both public and private sectors, understanding their distinct cultures and operating models.
- Previous experience parenting with technology or transformation functions, with an understanding of technical business acumen.
- Experience engaging and negotiating with trade unions, advising on workforce initiatives and change programmes
