Greystones is seeking a Database Developer (graph database) to support a program creating large-scale analytic computing technologies to improve business processes in the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). The Database Developer oversees database performance and software applications, conducts troubleshooting as necessary, and enhances program operations when required. Additionally, they will be creating new capabilities in data-driven innovation and migrating future risks of data.
Remote role with occasional travel to Washington D.C.
Major Duties/Tasks:
- Utilize extensive experience and familiarity with IRS data file structures and formats, IRS business processes and RAAS system architecture and analytical tools.
- Assist in incrementally establishing, testing, and deploying solutions to mature heterogeneous environment.
- Continuously review and analyze documentation and data for accuracy and determining optimal structure for the CKGE environment.
- Keep documentation of findings and recommend changes to address data quality issues such as missing values, duplications, erroneous values, inconsistent formats and other abnormalities.
- Work alongside stakeholders and other CKGE teams to identify and deploy opportunities for enhancements to the data feeds.
- Execute approved changes and document them in a format consistent with government guidelines.

Requirements:
- Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
- 2+ years’ experience programming
- Public Trust or Secret Level Clearance
- Experience and familiarity with IRS data file structures and formats, business processes, RAAS system architecture, network typology and analytical tools.
- Experience transferring software to Spark or other new technologies.
- Experience with the following set of technologies:
- IBM mainframe z/OS
- Red Hat Linux
- ETL/T processes
- SAP/Sybase IQ relational database
- Open Native Graph DB (ONgDB)
- R or RStudio
- Python or Java for ETL work
- Bash
- Spark
- Scispace
