Magnopus is seeking a proactive, people focused HR professional to support and enhance the employee experience across the full employee lifecycle. This role partners closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to manage onboarding, employee engagement, benefits, and HR ops. The ideal candidate is highly organized, collaborative, and service oriented with strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment. Candidates should have 3 years of HR experience and a general knowledge of California employment law.
Responsibilities
Oversee New Hire Onboarding planning and improvement including: coordinate stakeholders, send communications, create and update internal resource guides, facilitate new hire orientation, and process new hire paperwork including I-9 verification.
Organize and manage employee records and system management including: create and maintain employee personnel files, add and update employee information in the HRIS and other systems, process employee status updates, maintain the employee census and org chart, and assist with audit requests.
Oversees Employee Open Enrollment Engagement, including: coordinating stakeholder communications, tracking enrollment participation, 1:1 support for employees, and assisting leadership with benefit evaluation
Oversee US Culture & DEIB strategy and implementation; coordinate onsite events with the Culture Ambassador and coordinating global initiatives with UK counterparts.
Assist with Offboarding process including: coordinating stakeholder communications, conducting exit interviews, updating systems, and coordinate goodbye posts.
Provide administrative and project coordination support including updating company documents, filing, data entry, and assisting with departmental projects and initiatives.
Assist with Performance Management initiatives including being the subject matter expert for the Performance Management System and coordinating New Hire 30-60-90 day check-ins.
Oversee Leave of Absence and ADA Accommodation administration in partnership with ADP, including: providing guidance to employees on local programs and support, keeping stakeholders informed of timelines, supporting managers/teams to plan for absences, and assisting leadership with the interactive process.
Responding to general employee inquiries about benefits, training, system access, etc.
Create and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly reports to internal stakeholders.
Stay up to date with federal and state compliance regulations, assign mandatory trainings, and build and maintain the HR Confluence Page; research and draft relevant content, and communicate updates to stakeholders.
Research, analyze, and validate information; utilize information to identify relevant topics to develop internal resources, such as presentations, SOPs, and other communications.
Provide support for payroll processing including communications, timesheet and time off approvals, and paycheck distribution.
Support Leadership with Employee Relations matters and investigations, including preliminary intake or preparing documentation for mediation plans.
Assist with immigration matters, as needed.
Effectively communicate and liaise between key stakeholders including leadership, department leads, IT, facilities, finance, and operations to support consistent alignment.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
3 years of relevant HR and/or administrative experience, or a combination of applicable education and experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience using Microsoft Excel, Keynote / Microsoft PowerPoint, and Pages/ Microsoft Office.
Demonstrated customer service skills.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
General knowledge of state and local employment laws
Nice to Haves
Experience using Slack, Confluence, and ADP a bonus.
HR Certification preferred.
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Collaborative and takes initiative, with an eagerness to learn.
