Duties and Responsibilities:
Solution Design & Implementation:
- Collaborate with account managers and business development teams to assess customer needs and define appropriate data and analytics solutions.
- Lead implementation, configuration, and commissioning of software platforms such as Emerson’s Asset Performance Management (APM), AspenTech’s IP.21/Inmation, AVEVA PI System, and SEEQ.
- Ensure successful deployment of solutions including integration with customer OT/IT infrastructure and appropriate access controls.
Data Analytics & Visualization:
- Analyze large data lakes to identify trends, anomalies, and performance improvement opportunities.
- Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations using PI-AF, SEEQ, or other tools to provide operational insight and business value.
- Build and validate models that generate actionable recommendations and KPIs.
Customer Engagement & Technical Leadership:
- Serve as a trusted advisor by leading discussions around Master Data Management (MDM), asset hierarchies (AF), data contextualization and data governance.
- Conduct Digital Transformation and Asset Analytics workshops with customers to define use cases and quantify return on investment (ROI).
- Act as a technical resource for proposals, solution architecture, and pre-sales activities.
Knowledge Sharing & Continuous Improvement:
- Collaborate across teams to share best practices and repeatable solutions.
- Provide technical training, demonstrations, and documentation to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend improvements to our solution portfolio.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
- 5+ years of experience in data management, analytics, or industrial automation environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with AVEVA PI System, PI-AF, Aspen IP.21, Inmation, and SEEQ.
- Demonstrated ability to work with large industrial data sets and provide clear, actionable insight.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead technical conversations with customers.
- Familiarity with manufacturing process optimization, asset performance and reliability concepts in process industries is a plus.
Skills and Competencies
- Knowledge of Emerson and AspenTech software suite
- Strong understanding of data architecture and industrial integration (PLC/DCS, SCADA, Historians, SQL, APIs)
- Understanding of OT/IT integration concepts
- Familiarity with database technologies (SQL, NoSQL), scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Lua), and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Grafana)
- Project management or consulting experience is a plus
