Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Front-End Developer to join our fast-paced and dynamic team. This role is for individuals who are natural leaders, critical thinkers and can work extremely well in small teams. You will be the only front-end developer on our team for at least 6 months, and will be critical to developing and maintaining the user interfaces for our application.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent STEM fields
  • Minimum 3 years of full-time, professional experience post degree
  • Eager to take initiative and work independently for extended periods (e.g., expect to be the only front-end developer on staff for at least 6 months!)
  • Strong collaboration skills for working in a remote, cross-cultural team (e.g., you are proactive about finding solutions before escalating issues)

Technical Skills
  • Strong eyesight and attention to detail (e.g., you can catch 0.5px deviations in padding, border widths, and component spacing)
  • Highly organized with code management (e.g., you implement scalable architecture for component and state management to efficiently handle large UI systems)
  • Expert-level proficiency with the following languages, frameworks and tools:
    •
    • React
    • Redux, Redux Toolkit
    • Vite
    • HTML
    • CSS
    • JavaScript
    • Figma for collaboration with UI-UX designer
  • Proficiency or familiarity with the following additional tools:
    •
    • OKLCH CSS color space for relative color theming
    • RESTful APIs for collaboration with BE and DevOps
    • Amazon Web Services (AWS) for collaboration with BE and DevOps
    • SQL and vector databases
Communication Skills
  • Excellent conversational and written English communication skills
  • Ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly
  • Experience in remote work environments and asynchronous communication

Offer Details
  • Long-term contractor position (no medical benefits or paid leave)
  • Full-time commitment (40 hours per week)
  • Minimum 4 hours of daily overlap with EST time zone required
