Our client, a leading player in the insurance industry, is seeking a talented Lead IAM Engineer to join their team. With over 350 employees in the tech department, they are known for their in-house built software solutions and modern tech stack.
In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to spearhead a groundbreaking project focused on establishing a brand-new authentication solution.
As the Lead IAM Engineer, you will be responsible for the technical and functional aspects of building, enhancing and operating this state-of-the-art on-prem authentication system. From initial analysis to seamless implementation, you will play a pivotal role in the entire project lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of designing, developing, and implementing a brand-new identity access management (IAM) solution within a greenfield project
- Lead the technical and functional aspects of the project, from initial analysis to seamless integration and ongoing maintenance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, develop system architecture, and ensure successful implementation
- Provide expertise and guidance on best practices for IAM, authentication, and federation protocols
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the IAM solution, ensuring smooth operation and seamless integration with other systems
Profile/Requirements:
- Proven experience in creating and implementing a new IAM solution from scratch within a greenfield project
- Deep understanding of IAM principles, authentication protocols (such as SAML, OIDC, OAuth), and federation technologies
- Strong technical proficiency in identity management systems, directory services, and access controls
- Experience in system design and architecture, including integration with cloud services and on-premises systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills in German, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Degree in STEM, e.g. Computer Science
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in system engineering or related field, e.g. Pentesting
