What you'll do

  • Perform daily reconciliation of settlements with eligible counterparties and third party executing brokers, using and developing scripts to automate processes where possible.

  • Assist in investigating and resolving breaks and discrepancies in a timely manner by analysing transaction data.

  • Support the maintenance of static data and transaction records, ensuring accuracy and completeness through data validation and tooling.

  • Help prepare and maintain documentation for trading operations processes and policies.

  • Assist in day-to-day operational tasks to ensure the smooth functioning of our trading platform, while also providing timely operational support to our internal trading teams.

  • Collaborate with internal tech and operations teams to implement automated solutions and improve operational efficiency.

  • Support the Head of Trading Operations on projects related to process improvements.

What you need to have

  • A min 2.1 bachelor’s degree in Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, and 1-2 years of relevant experience in a back-office financial services role.

  • An interest and understanding of financial markets and the trade life cycle.

  • An eagerness to learn and apply new technologies to solve complex operational problems.

  • Strong programming skills in Python or SQL for data manipulation and automation.

  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

  • A proactive, can-do attitude and a strong team-player mindset.
