Who are we looking for?

A Critical Thinker, who is Collaborative, a Self-driven Fast Learner who takes initiative.

A passionate and experienced technical consultant or pre-sales engineer with a background in data privacy & protection and a knowledge of both databases and encryption.

This is a full-time remote role for a Solutions Architect at Vaultree. As a Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for architecting, implementing, and supporting the integration of Vaultree's Data-In-Use Encryption solution for our clients. You will work closely with customers to understand their requirements, provide technical expertise, and ensure successful deployment and integration of our solution. Additionally, you will collaborate with our sales, product, and engineering teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences. We are looking for someone who thinks outside the box, challenges the norm and brings deep tech knowledge and a hands on attitude to the team & customer.


You're perfect for this role if you:

  • You have extensive experience in customer facing roles and run technical discovery calls with the ability to clearly translate & understand different customers processes and identify their needs.
  • You will be supporting the co-founder and account executives with technical prospect leads.
  • Vaultree is all about creating customer value and helping our customers to create a safer environment through our encryption technology. You know how to run a demonstration to walk the customer through a live code demo with ease.
  • You are tech savvy - you can explain complex technical concepts in a thorough and simple way, making it easy for the customer to understand.
  • You understand concepts in depth and from a customer integration perspective.
  • Deliver presentations, always thinking of the customer first and putting yourself in their shoes to enable effective message sharing and storytelling.
  • You are a master at customizing your presentation and demo to address the customers needs, in addition to presenting Vaultree's products at events, conferences, seminars and webinars.
  • You are proactively looking at improving, learning and communicating with the rest of the team. You are happy to collaborate with different teams to find answers and provide customer feedback.
  • You are an independent, self-driven individual and a fast learner - after all you will be in charge of the customer experience.
  • Effectively communicate client needs to our customer success team during handover as well as to the product team for future product enhancements.
  • Not afraid to embrace change and open direct feedback loops with continuous iterative improvement.
  • You have great communication and writing skills. Professional English, both spoken and written. Other foreign languages are always a plus.

What you need for this position:

  • Successful & proven work experience as a Technical Consultant or Pre-Sales Engineer at an Enterprise Software company
  • 7+ years of sales experience
  • Extensive data and database background, with cyber security experience
  • Creative "out of the box" approach to sales and build strong customer relationships
  • Basic understanding of encryption technologies
  • Familiar with the standard RDBMS (PostgreSQL, Oracle, MS SQL Server, etc.)
  • Proficient in system integration and API implementation
  • Excellent organizational skills and a keen eye for detail
  • Negotiation and social problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a complex technical sales environment
  • Ability to forge strong, long-lasting relationships with co-founders & senior management
  • Ability to creatively explain and present complex concepts in an easy to understand manner
  • Shares our vision that data privacy is a fundamental human right and that technology gives people the means to take back control of their personal information

What's expected from you:

First 30 Days

  • Rapidly gain an understanding of the company’s vision, mission and product.
  • Complete all onboarding processes efficiently
  • Familiarize yourself with the company's solutions, including technical specifications, architecture, and current deployments.
  • Review existing documentation, codebases, and system architecture diagrams.
  • Begin providing input on current projects, identifying quick wins and areas for immediate improvement.
  • Conduct a detailed review of current solution architectures, identifying potential areas for improvement or optimization.

First 60 Days

  • Actively contribute to ongoing projects, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with development teams to design and implement incremental architectural improvements or prototypes.
  • Engage regularly with stakeholders to gather feedback, ensure alignment with project goals, and communicate progress.
  • Establish yourself as a trusted advisor to the technical team and other departments, demonstrating deep understanding and strategic thinking.

First 90 Days

  • Take ownership of key architectural decisions and drive the implementation of major improvements.
  • Ensure that all solutions meet the highest standards of security, scalability, and performance.
  • Develop a strategic roadmap for future architectural developments, identifying opportunities for innovation and growth.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members, sharing knowledge and fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Continually refine processes and practices to improve efficiency and effectiveness in the fast-paced startup environment.
  • Demonstrate tangible improvements in system architecture that support the company's rapid growth and scaling needs.
  • Establish a clear, actionable plan for the next phase of architectural advancements, setting the stage for continued success.

Success measures and KPIs

  • Number of projects completed on time and within scope.
  • Positive feedback scores from stakeholders regarding decisions and implementations
  • Number of innovative solutions or new technologies introduced and successfully integrated
  • Frequency and quality of collaboration with cross-functional teams, measured through peer reviews or feedback
